Are any of you writers? I used to love to write! I'd love to hear some pointers or inspiration or anything! Way back when, when I was a young JessicaElephant I won awards for writing in my college prep class. (8th grade) I was far from the smartest kid in there but the teacher was always so impressed with my writing. She would go on and on about it. Now it takes me hours to write a few sentences. I don't know what happened to me :/ I would love to get back into it. I had a friend in middle school. (She's still my friend actually) where we would each write a page for a story.  We wouldn't agree on anything and we wouldn't make outlines for the characters so things got mad stupid It was a lot of fun though :3

1. I am dumb. That's not me being hard on myself. I'm just being honest, I am a dumb person. It pains me how dumb I am. Sometimes I think I can feel my brain shrinking dumb.

2. I've remembered every detail of every story I've created since I was in my early teens, I don't write any of it down. I have a lot of stories. Unfortunately I don't remember anything useful.

3. Every time I have a feeling about something it's pretty much always right. Felt like something was wrong with my Grandpa, everyone tells me he's fine. He dies. Felt like something was wrong with my cat. Took her to the vet. "She could live a few more years!" She dies. (Her cancer wasn't properly removed by a previous vet) Felt like something was wrong with my new kitten. Took her to the vet "she's fine" she dies that night. I felt like I was going to win at bingo. I did. I felt like someone was going to be in my seat on my flight. Yup. Felt like someone was going to say I was in their seat on a flight. Yup. (I always triple check. Seat assignments aren't that difficult) Felt like I was going to win a raffle. I do. Felt like I was going to win a scratch it. $100. I dunno. Lately I've felt more ominous things  again so I don't know what to think. (No I don't think I'm physic)

4. I am very grateful for random strangers who try to start conversations with me, I am a very lonely person. I apologize when I only give one word answers, I really want to talk to you like a normal human being but I can't get the words out.

I've never been able to make friends. And I can't even make friends on the internet... I don't even know how I accomplish that.

So how does one go about making friends on the internet?

The "My First Disney Princess" Ariel Doll is flawed, she was born a mermaid and should not have legs. Someone please fix that.

I hate hate hate it when people say mega blocks are legos! I don't like it when people lump in Anastasia and Odette with Disney Princesses.

Compliments make me very uncomfortable. Especially ones about my appearance. And any talent someone thinks I may have. That being said some insults make my heart race and my stomach hurt.

I don't mind cussing and joking around but some some people are crude in situations where it doesn't call for it. Saying variations of the word Fuck all the time sort of loses the emphasis the word has.
Instead of "Oh they're serious about this" it's "Oh they don't know any adjectives"
I guess I don't really care for "shock" humor anymore, even though it's not a shock anymore since it's everywhere.

If time travel was possible I believe it would only be allowed in the time frame of your own life, your mind would go to your old body. I know the whole thought is ridiculous but I don't understand how a physical body would be able to be carried through time. I would think thought could *eventually* travel through airwaves like a radio frequency.

(I named her Looly Ooly Looly Loo (Loo-lee Ew-lee Loo-lee Loo) off of a noise my nephew makes to one particular teddy bear but nobody else liked it. I can understand why, it's just sometimes you like something that no one else gets )

*I read The Hunger Games Trilogy last month and I really love Peeta.

I have a random deviant button on my web browser so to get to DA I click the button and spend a little time looking at new profiles and galleries on the site. I've noticed that quite a few people share a similar style, like they all taught each other to draw or they're all clones with different profiles similar. So I was wondering if anybody has seen a style like mine, it's not jealousy or anything, *like I would care if someone drew silly like me* It's would just be interesting to see what influenced them to their style. Cause I really went out of my way to be sort of unique by not "studying" from only one or two influences, I dunno, I just find stuff like that interesting.  

Anyway I have been working on drawings, I've been making them much more detailed which is really a pain to color in illustrator. The drawing I'm working on now I spent 4 hours shading and I don't know if it's worth it. I have fallen very much out of love with using illustrator but I don't have the money to buy a new program... or the patience to learn one. So anybody, what do you use and how much did it cost you? If anyone ever reads these ha.

I've realized this many years ago, which I'm sure most of you have noticed through a quick glance at my gallery, is I'm not super talented. I'm not whining, I AM NOT ASKING FOR COMPLIMENTS, if you like my stuff, super swell, gee thanks a lot I appreciate it but that's not what this journal is about. My characters kind of look the same, and I'm not very good at drawing the same character over and over again. (Isn't that weird?)  I'll usually try and end up designing them different and liking the new way better. So I never really get past the design stage. I have quite a few ideas and it hurts me that I'm so lazy or stubborn or have some kind of mental block I can't get past, and Oh my Glob it takes me forever to do anything! What is that about?

Sooooo all you talented more experienced people than me when you were first drawing how did you get yourself to draw your character over and over, I realize it's practice but I was wondering if you had any particular methods... and I wanted to get rid of the last journal, I write the stupidest things when I'm tired. So apologies, apologies all around!

I remember a friend I had in my first 3rd grade class (I moved I didn't fail) she drew a character over and over again on the same page and they all looked the same. I am still slightly jealous of her now

This isn't an Eeyore "Nobody likes me! Ho-hum!" journal. I don't feel sorry for myself, I think if more people would realize they weren't so talented they could learn ways to improve

My friend wants me to illustrate some of the future stories she writes, so I asked her to give me a nonsense one page comic idea so I could see if I could illustrate it but she just won't and I don't know why (You know who you are )  I want to see if I can draw someone else's ideas in a satisfactory manner. If it's my idea, I'll take it way too far and end up with my original problem of being stuck in the design stage.

And I don't consider anything I do art, that's really not a put down of myself, art is something from the soul, an emotional experience put onto paper that makes you think. I draw cartoons with bendy arms and silly faces I'm hardly an artist or an art appreciator

My cousin kicked the ball over the fence today and we went over to the neighbors to get it back, no one was home.
She whines and asks if she can go into the neighbors yard, even though they have a Clifford-esque dog back there. I say "No you can't go back there, you don't know if that dog is friendly or not, besides it's rude to just go into someone's backyard." The dog usually barks whenever I walk by, or a plane passes over, or a leaf falls off a tree somewhere in North America. She tells me "Yes I can!" Which is just a stupid response because I wasn't asking her anything. The dog of course comes over and licks her hand after she sticks it through the fence when I told her not to and is tempting her to come in the yard so he can eat her or something. I finally convince her not to open their gate because the dog might get out and we (I) would feel bad if the dog ran away. We get back into my parent's yard and we hear a garage open and the neighbors came home, as if they were summoned. She then ran out and stood in front of them and then shouts "You ask them!" which makes me nervous, I have really bad social anxiety but the Dad had a really friendly smile so that helped a lot and I ask in my most confident voice "We accidentally knocked our ball over the fence, could you throw it over, please?" he seems very cheery about it actually. Then when he tosses the ball over my cousin says loudly in an accusing voice "See they WERE nice!" I've never met them before, I wouldn't know if they were nice or not, I never said that they weren't. I say "I never said they weren't nice, I said you shouldn't go into people's backyards with dogs..." Then I sort of trailed off.

ANYWAY the point of my journal and the reason I can't fall asleep (It's actually later here then 10:47, I forgot how to change the timezones) is because I'm worrying the guy next door is upset and is thinking I said something bad about him... I know I shouldn't worry, I realize most people don't think about things as much as I do. (Things that don't matter anyway) but my cousin is very hard to understand so maybe they didn't hear her but heard me, which would be odd/odder, still I usually talk very softly so maybe he didn't hear either of us. But I still feel bad... this is soo stupid I'm sorry, my question is if you heard my cousin and me on the other side of a fence after you threw the ball over to us would you just assume my cousin is being bratty or would you assume I talk about people?

The dog is actually very cute, I just don't think it's smart to try to get friendly with an unfamiliar dog.
